Codsall Singers
About Us

About the Codsall Singers

Codsall Singers is a friendly community choir based in the village of Codsall, Staffordshire. For over 20 years, we’ve brought together people from all walks of life who share a love of singing and a passion for music.
We rehearse weekly and perform in the summer and at Christmas. Our repertoire is wonderfully varied, ranging from classical choral works to contemporary songs, folk arrangements, seasonal favourites, and everything in between.

A Place for All Voices
Whether you’re an experienced singer or haven’t sung since school, you’ll receive a warm welcome at Codsall Singers. There are no auditions - just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in. We believe music is for everyone, and we’re proud to foster a relaxed and encouraging environment where members can grow in confidence and skill.

Performances and Community
Our concerts give us a chance to perform all the songs we have been practicing. As well as a summer concert we also perform at Christmas when we have our own concert, perform for local community groups and also collaborate with the Newport Male Voice Choir for a joint concert. We love sharing music with our community and we also support local causes and aim to make a positive impact through our music.

Rehearsals Contact
We meet every Thursday evening during term time from 8pm at The Forget-Me-Not Club in Codsall, Staffordshire. If you’d like to come along and see what we’re about there is no pressure, just music!

Our History

Codsall Singers was formed in 2005 from an existing choir called The New Day Singers.

The New Day Singers, based in Brewood, Staffordshire, was formed in 1984 by Joyce and Les Moorhouse when they invited a few friends round for a musical evening. When the choir became larger, rehearsals moved to Vernon Lodge School in Stretton, and continued there until 2005.
